Biography:
The group was formed in Washington, United States 1987. Driven by vocalist Curt Cobain and Krist Novoselic to fill the bass, the group took off their first album in 1989 under an indie label.
In 1990, Nirvana signed with major label DGC and release their second album Nevermind. DGC estimates it could sell the album at least 250 thousand copies. But the opposite happened. Success Smells Like Teen Spirit boost sales to 400 thousand copies in just 1 week.
Trying to repeat the successful first album, titled second album In Utero was released two years later. Unfortunately prestige to the second album is not bright as the first.
8 April 1994 is the end of history when the motor Nirvana Kurt Cobain was found dead at his home in Seattle Washington. Several compilation albums they still managed to release a few years later. Nirvana is estimated to have sold at least 50 million copies of their albums worldwide.
